Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 May 2026

PlanMyReno (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is operated by Nathan Titterington, trading as AT DTC LIMITED (Company No. 17044546), registered at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What data we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (which is encrypted and stored securely by our authentication provider). We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address unless you choose to enter them in your project settings. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or, in the case of Apple’s Hide My Email, a private relay address) from those providers.

When you use the app, we store the data you enter including: project details (name, property type, budget), rooms, cost estimates, tasks, measurements, tradespeople contacts, quotes, payments, calendar events, notes, snagging items, and photos you upload (room images, before/after photos, receipts, measurement photos, quote documents).

We also collect anonymous usage data through our analytics provider (PostHog) so we can understand which features people use and improve the app. This includes screen views, button taps, the type of device you’re using, and your iOS version. It is tied to a random anonymous device identifier — not your name, email, or anything you’ve entered into the app.

If you install PlanMyReno from one of our advertising campaigns, your iOS device will share an anonymous campaign identifier with the relevant ad platform (Meta, Google, or TikTok) via Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework, and limited install/event data with our attribution provider AppsFlyer. See “Advertising attribution” below for full details and your choices.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the PlanMyReno service to you — storing and displaying your renovation project information, syncing it across your devices, and enabling features like budget tracking, trade management, and calendar scheduling.

We use anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used so we can fix bugs, prioritise improvements, and measure whether new features are actually helpful. We use advertising attribution data to measure whether our ad campaigns are reaching the right people.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We do not display ads inside the app. We do run advertising campaigns on Meta, Google, and TikTok to find new users — see “Advertising attribution” for what is and isn’t shared with those platforms.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Supabase uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Photos and documents you upload are stored in Supabase Storage buckets in the same EU region.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app and the website:

Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes your account data and all project data you enter. Hosted in the EU. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Anthropic (Scan Receipt feature) — When you use the Scan Receipt feature, your receipt photo is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to extract the vendor, amount, date, and category. The image is sent over an encrypted connection. Anthropic does not use API content to train their models and retains the data only for the duration of the request. A copy of the receipt photo is stored in your PlanMyReno account on Supabase Storage so you can attach it to the payment record. Anthropic’s privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Apple (Sign in with Apple) — If you sign up using “Sign in with Apple”, Apple shares your name and an email address (or a private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”) with us so we can create your account. Apple’s privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Google (Sign in with Google) — If you sign up using “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create your account. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Apple (App Store) — If you purchase a subscription in the future, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your payment card details.

PostHog (product analytics) — We use PostHog to understand how people use the app so we can improve it. PostHog records anonymous events such as which screens you visit, which features you use, and how long sessions last. PostHog assigns each device a random identifier; this is not linked to your name, email, or any payment data. PostHog stores this data on EU-based servers. Their privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

AppsFlyer (advertising attribution) — We use AppsFlyer to measure how well our advertising campaigns perform. AppsFlyer receives your device’s anonymous advertising identifier (only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission), basic device information (model, iOS version, country), and aggregated event signals such as that a sign-up or first session occurred. This data helps us understand which adverts drive valuable users so we can optimise our marketing spend. AppsFlyer does not see your project content, photos, payments, or any data you enter into the app. Their privacy policy is available at appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy.

Microsoft Clarity (website analytics) — We use Microsoft Clarity on planmyreno.app to understand how visitors interact with the website. Clarity collects information about pages you visit, how you scroll and click, and may record anonymised replays of website sessions. It does not record any data you enter into the app itself. Microsoft’s privacy policy is available at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Advertising attribution

When you install PlanMyReno from an advertising campaign on Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google (Search/Display Ads), or TikTok, we use a combination of Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework and our attribution provider AppsFlyer to confirm to the ad platform that an install or sign-up occurred. SKAdNetwork shares only an anonymised campaign identifier and a conversion value — never your name, email address, or any in-app activity. AppsFlyer additionally helps us measure cost-per-install and conversion rates across our campaigns; see “Third-party services” above for the full detail of what AppsFlyer receives.

If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission when prompted, we may also use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to give Meta, Google, and TikTok better attribution data. You can decline this prompt or revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings.

We do not share any in-app project data, payment data, receipts, or photos with these advertising platforms.

App Tracking Transparency

In line with Apple’s privacy rules, the first time you launch PlanMyReno after installing it from one of our adverts, we will ask if you allow us to track your activity for advertising attribution. You can choose:

Ask App Not to Track — we will not use your IDFA. Anonymous SKAdNetwork attribution still works.

Allow — we share your IDFA with Meta, Google, and TikTok so they can match your install to the campaign that drove it. We never share in-app project content, photos, or payment data.

You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PlanMyReno.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we will delete all your project data, uploaded photos, and personal information within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently removed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

Access — Request a copy of all data we hold about you.

Correction — Ask us to correct any inaccurate data.

Deletion — Ask us to delete your account and all associated data.

Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.

Objection — Object to any processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at user@planmyreno.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Children’s privacy

PlanMyReno is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

Cookies

The PlanMyReno iOS app does not use cookies. Our website at planmyreno.app uses cookies set by Microsoft Clarity for website analytics (see “Third-party services” above). These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the site so we can improve it. You can block or delete them through your browser settings — the website will continue to work normally.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
